As the kids tasted their treats, they colored in an apple taste test form to help them remember which treats they loved best!
The next day, we conducted an apple experiment. We wanted to find out what would happen to an apple if we cut it open and left it out all day! We practiced being scientists by observing the apple, and making predictions about what would happen. We noticed that apples can get very dry and brown! {Ew.}
In reading, we have been learning how to label items! We labeled the parts of an apple! The kids created their very own GIANT apples to label! They turned out SO cute! I had to hang these in the hall--super fun fall decoration!
We have also been discussing the differences between fiction and nonfiction books. We talked about how we read nonfiction books to learn more about the things we are interested in, so we read a nonfiction book about apples! The kids helped fill out this chart as we read.
